If you’ve followed me for any amount of time, you know that my favorite meal of the day is breakfast. And I can definitely load up on the bad stuff: pancakes, waffles, cinnamon rolls, french toast, etc. Those by far are my guilty pleasures. But it’s so much freaking sugar and for someone who is trying to be more conscious of how I’m eating, it can be hard to resist.
But that’s why you love me right? I never tell you that you can’t have those indulgences and cravings. If you want it, then have it, just be wiser about how you make it. For instance, I could probably have pancakes everyday of the week. There’s a nutrition program and fitness program I currently trying out to see if it works and to see if I feel good to recommend it to others. I love how I don’t feel restricted on it and there are a ton of foods to choose from for this program. Bonus! Pancakes is approved.
Below is a banana pancakes recipe I used on the program and ate probably 1/2 the time for my breakfast. I prefer a bigger breakfast to start my day and then I wait to eat until lunch. It easily fills me up for a few hours. If you’re a pancake lover like me, this is definitely a great version to try. Minimal dishes to dirty and very few ingredients.
1 serving (1 red, 1 tsp, 1 yellow, 1 purple)
- 1 egg
- 1 egg white
- 1/2 rolled oats
- 1/2 banana
Put all ingredients in a blender and blend for 20 seconds. This is your pancake batter. Cook pancakes as usual
